MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We are so excited for this Christmas season! We feel we have been blessed with the best present, that of our baby daughter, Isabella. We are super excited for Christmas with Teresa's entire immediate family who will be here in Eugene for the holidays! It will be a real blessing to spend time with all of them and have some fun! We wish everyone a VERY merry Christmas and an awesome New Year!

Doctor Visit

So we are very blessed to have a fantastic family Doctor, Dr. Kraynyak (who is like Doogie Howser). He is super funny with Bella, he laughs at the little things she does and I swear he beams to be around newborns, it is really funny. Anyway, today was Isabella's second visit with Kraynyak. So, babies are supposed to be weighed and measured when they go in and my sweet little angel decided to not only pee when we had to get her naked for the weigh in, but also poo! Then after they were done weighing her and put her back on the patient table, she pee'd again!! My sweet, little, demure baby! LOL, it was actually really funny. But the other SUPER crazy thing was that Isabella weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz.!! She has gained 5 oz. in 5 days!! Of course after the second peeing I think she went down another ounce or two!

It's amazing how tired you get with a new baby! But I still don't want to put her down!

This is Dave's fault as you can see from the below picture. Apparently Baby Bella was good luck for the Ducks in the Civil War game against the Beavers! GO DUCKS!! ;) Oh, in case you hadn't heard, the Ducks SLAUGHTERED the Beavs!

This poor girl is going to be tortured her entire life with being a Duck fan. I'm going to have to get some pink Duck stuff so she doesn't get mistaken for a boy!

We just can't keep our eyes off our new little one. She is so precious and I cannot even begin to explain the deep love, protection and adoration I have for such a small being. I didn't think I'd be able to handle a lot of what a baby dishes, like poop, spit-up, peeing on you . . . you know, the norm . . . . and EVERYONE said "it's different when it's your own" and I would roll my eyes and think, "yeah, we'll see" . . . well, they were completely right! I can't clean up anyone elses spit-up or barf, in fact I gag. I hate cleaning poopy diapers and so far I have been peed and poo'd on more than once and it hasn't fazed me, all I worry about is Isabella being clean, happy, and healthy.


Bella always is trying to put her hands up to her face, there are 4D pictures in utero we have of Bella with her hands up to her face and she is always trying to do that now, so funny how they are!


Dave had to go back to work this week :_( Yes, Bella and I are extremely sad to see him go, it is amazing what a great dad he is and was from the get go! He has had the nesting syndrome since two weeks prior to Bella arriving, it is pretty funny, I tease him about it. Our home is already clean, but if he sees one spec of dust he has to clean it. He can't stand the kitchen to have anything dirty in it. He says he absolutely cannot stop himself, he describes this desire as this uncontrollable desire to make sure the house is completely clean for his baby daughter. He is also amazing with her with feeding, burping and it is SO adorable the way he talks to her!! Yes, he talks to her all the time, SO CUTE!

Yeah, it is still weird to think that Dave and I have a daughter and we really are parents. Right now I just think I have this amazing little baby, who completely wipes me out, whom I love unconditionally . . . I guess I just don't know what a mother is supposed to feel like, but it sure is trippy to think about!

I do thank the good Lord everyday for sending me such an amazing little spirit. We love her so much and feel so blessed for so many things! We had a fantastic doctor who rearranged his schedule to be the one to deliver her, even though he wasn't on call. We had a superb nurse that was amazing throughout the whole ordeal. I really didn't think I was going to make it through delivery and I even had a epidural. I have a wonderful husband who was able to help throughout the entire birth because there were a lot of babies born that day and the nursing staff was a bit short handed. Both Dave and I thought he wouldn't be able to help or really watch the birth, we both figured he would need to be by my head, coaching me. But he was right on in there helping and witnessing the miracle of our baby daughter's birth. There are so many things to be thankful for, I just wanted to list a few of mine.

More Isabella Pictures

So, since this only lets us post five pictures at a time, choosing which photo to upload is nearly impossible. But, here are some more pictures to feast your eyes on! Isabella is a wonderful baby! We are mezmorized by her all the time. We find ourselves just sitting and staring at her all the time. Every little sound, movement, and expression she makes is just the cutest thing you have ever seen. Anyway, more pictures to follow soon. Welcome Isabella Joyce Stockdale!!!

She's here! Isabella Joyce Stockdale was born Monday November 24, 2008 at 7:39 pm. Mom and baby are doing great. After 9 hours of labor and 90 minutes of pushing, Bella made her wordly debut! She came in weighing 6lbs 6oz. and was 19 inches long. Doctors say she is as healthy as they come and mom and dad say she is just too adorable and more perfect than imaginable. Thank you to everyone who sent prayers our way, sent gifts, and all who helped in any way. It was all very much appreciated! Here are the first set of pictures. More to follow soon.

4 centimeters! What did you just say?!?

So, Teresa went in for her regular checkup today and they did their usual test stuff. But, then she told the doctor that she had been having some contractions lately... some that even made her sweat... so they checked her out. Apparently, Teresa is already dialated to 4 cm! Dr. Cooper told us "don't go anywhere," and "I'd be surprised if you went another two weeks." So, Teresa is really due any day now! Considering she will be 37 weeks pregnant this Sunday, the notion that the baby is likely to come at least 14 days early (closer to 18 days), came as a shock. Teresa has been measuring and coming in right on target with the expected due date at all of her visits. It just seems that she is jumping to get here! Its amazing how those two more weeks of emotional and other prep seem so much more important now! Anyway, we're gearing up for the BIG event... and planning on an early arrival.

Moved

Well, thanks to a number of fantastic, amazing, wonderful friends, Dave and I have moved into a larger home - temporarily. I say temporarily because we will move again in approximately four months as we are building a home. We decided to rent out our condo which drew an enormous amount of interest for renting purposes, which is pretty cool. So, if you'd like our new address, let me know if you don't get an email within the next few days. We are excited and still cannot express our DEEP, GREAT, gratitude for the hard work our friends put forth in helping us move, seriously we really could not have done it without them!! They will be greatly blessed for their great service!

Dog park!

We took Bono to Armitage Park dog park. Armitage is a park Dave has been working closely on with the new campground being built. While we were there we found two other puggles! We haven't come across very many, so it was fun for us to see them! Bono didn't really seem to care, he just wanted to sniff around as you can see. He is the biggest one - the one in the blue harness. He is a good boy :) As I write this, he is sitting right next to me giving me his sad puppy face and eyes - I think he wants to play!

33 weeks pregnant

So I have 7 weeks left to go until our baby girl is due!! We thought we would post another picture of how large my pregnant belly is for anyone who is interested. I feel huge and am getting quite uncomfortable. Not to mention sleep is becoming more and more difficult every night. I feel bad because it also effects Dave. But really, I don't have much room to complain, all in all my pregnancy has been super easy, no real complaints until I hit this last trimester!

Dave really liked the trees changing color which is why he took the picture like he did . . . silly guy :)

GPS

So Dave got a new toy this last week. We found Circuit City gift cards in a file in our filing cabinet that we totally forgot about (we got them like a year ago) so Dave found it fitting to purchase a GPS. I thought it was kind of silly, like who would use one? So we got it and then Friday evening we decided to test it. Using this fantastic device we have now found our next summer swimming hole!! :) How liberating it is to have the GPS to go have an adventure with someone who has so much anxiety like I do and feel completely at ease with this amazing machine to give us directions! Its great. :) PLUS, we went on a super fun hike (Bono fell in the river, it was pretty funny) and went out to dinner, unplanned, SO FUN!

Hawaii

So Dave and I are playing caretakers for Mark and Lisa's children while they are in junkin' HAWAII for our oldest brother's, Wayne (who is marrying the much welcomed Rhona!), wedding. But we aren't bitter, no, not at all . . . . I mean who on earth would want to be on soft sandy beaches in the tropical sunshine swimming with sea turtles?

No, instead we get to hang out with three of our coolest nieces, Stacia (who just turned 16), McKayla (10) and Natasha (who turns 9 on Tuesday the 16th). We are looking forward to hanging out with them.

Although, I am NOT looking forward to going back to work, I had a week off for medical leave, related to my pregnancy. Nothing is wrong, its just a SUPER stressful job and it just got to me and I needed a break so I could make sure I was taking care of myself and the baby. But I go back tomorrow . . . :_( I think I'd rather be with Mark, Lisa, Wayne and Rhona in Hawaii!!!

Six Months!

So it is official as of yesterday Teresa is six months pregnant and in her third trimester!!! We are SUPER excited!!

Oh, and we picked a name that we are set on naming our baby girl, however we are not going to tell anyone until she arrives ;) tee hee.

Dave's artistic side

So a surprise to a lot of people is that Dave can be very artsy! He loves to take artistic photos whenever he has a chance, it is really cute. He seems to think he doesn't have any creativity in the arts department, but I would have to disagree!

Twins

WHAT is the deal with everybody thinking I am having twins?!! Am I really that huge already?! I just completed my 24th week (a little over 5 months) and apparently my tummy is huge.

Breakfast in bed

So I woke up this morning to my Sweetheart, Dave handing me a plate with breakfast on it and a glass of orange juice!! HOW SWEET IS HE?!! I just thought it was the cutest thing on the planet that he just got up and I didn't even know it and made me breakfast in bed for no reason at all! He is cute.

So this is Teresa's first experience with a Joshua Tree. The only place it grows is the Mojave Desert, the wonderful place where Dave primarily grew up. Teresa thought it was really cool to see because of the U2 album Joshua Tree :) Suprised you didn't know that.

California trip

Pictures of Sophia, Cullen, Madie, Olivia at Dawn's baby shower. The new baby, Lily is being held in the pink blanket. Dave is a sucker for Sophia and really great with the baby!

The kids decided to put on a show for us. They sure were funny!

Ultrasound fun!

The ultrasound happened on July 25th. Not the most comfortable thing in the world . . . but extremely exciting! Teresa totally cried. This is our baby girls profile, you can see her jaw line as well!

As creepy as this 4D image is, it is still a sight into my tummy and a view of our little girl! She has her right hand up to her face and her left elbow is blocking part of her face.

Just Getting Started

So, this is our first posting on our VERY newly created blog... I guess is was time to join the blogosphere. There will certainly be more to follow for anyone who might be interested in what's new with us.
